DILLON, SC : Following a successful reopening at Dillon Motor Speedway this past Saturday afternoon, track promoter Ron Barfield has scheduled the next event at the 4/10ths-mile oval for Saturday, May 23rd.
The race schedule is headlined by the Carolina Pro Late Model Series as they begin their 2020 campaign with a $1,200-to-win, 100 lap feature race. Also, on the card after a good showing on Saturday is the INEX Legends under the guidance of Southeast Legends Tour promoter Jeff Jordan and the Bandoleros by popular request from competitors.
The Legend feature winner will receive $400 and all the Legend drivers will receive some sort of payout from the event. The entry fee is just $10 and both the Federal and Hoosier tires are eligible to compete.
The Bandoleros will be racing with the Red Restrictor Plate. Both the Bandolero and Legend features are INEX-sanctioned and drivers will receive INEX points. Just like last weekend, this is not a Southeast Legends Tour point event, but a Dillon Motor Speedway event.
There is no Friday practice scheduled at the current time. The good news for race fans is this event will be open to the public with social distancing guidelines in effect, just like in the pit area. This is subject to change with the State of South Carolina before May 23rd.
